Pricing your portfolio has never been easier or more cost effective. Our Bloomberg Mapping and Pricing Application (known as BMPA), imports an Advent Axys position file using a custom Axys report that we provide. It maps the securities to Bloomberg understood parameters, connects to the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL ™ service via your established service link and prices the securities in your portfolio. BMPA then creates an Axys PRI file. Pricing a portfolio with one hundred positions can easily be accomplished in less than a minute -- start to finish.
If you have a multi-currency version of Axys, BMPA can create spot rate (FX) and forward points (FFX) files as well.
The Bloomberg Professional service is the leading industry provider for real-time pricing data. It can arguably be said that pricing for more securities are available using Bloomberg than any other data provider. This is why we choose to integrate our Mapping & Pricing Application to The Bloomberg service first. If you are currently paying another service for pricing and you also have service from Bloomberg, then you should use BMPA to provide you with a Bloomberg/Axys pricing link.
Why should your firm consider using BMPA?
It's fast. Typically it is possible to create a an Axys price file in less than one minute It's very cost effective. If you already subscribe to Bloomberg Professional service, then there is no need to subscribe to an additional vendor's service to create price files (or currency rate files). If you don't automatically create Axys price files, then the time saved manually creating price files will justify the cost. Pricing using industry standard prices. Bloomberg Professional service is most likely the leading data provider for security pricing. Usually, you will not have to go to any other source to find a security's price. Increase accuracy. Since Bloomberg provides pricing on nearly every security, and since price files are automatically created based on your portfolio, errors are kept to a minimum (if not entirely eliminated). Price any time. Since BMPA is fast and easy to use, intra-day pricing and portfolio evaluation is easily done.
